Ingredients

  • 12-14 Lamb chops
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala 
  • 4 crushed cloves
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
  • Pinch of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tbsp of fennel seeds
  •  
  • Mustard Oil ([preferred) or any vegetable oil suitable for frying
  • Water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry the lamb chops in oil with 1/2tsp garam masala, salt and crushed cloves. Fry till golden brown.
  2. In another pan, take some oil. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, kashmiri chilli powder, pinch of sugar. Stir with few drops of water. 
  3. Add dahi to above. Keep flame low and stir continuously. Add ginger powder, fennel powder and 1/2 tsp garam masala. Keep cooking and stirring as the mixture becomes a nice gravy.
  4. Add fried lamb chops to the gravy.
  5. Mix well. Cover and let it cook. If gravy is less, add a little bit of water. Cook for 30 mins or so.
  6. Serve when meat falls off the bone.
