KPAE Annual Miltchār – what an evening!

What a fantastic evening it was as 170 members of our Kashmiri Pandit community came together for a truly memorable KPAE Dinner & Dance night filled with laughter, music and togetherness.

We began on a heartfelt note by remembering Mrs Susheilaji Razdaan, followed by the launch of our Orzu, Dorkut and Dokh initiative – a lovely reminder that in our community, no one should ever feel alone during times of need or vulnerability. Huge thanks to Sharang ji Shandil for creating the beta version of an app in record two days!

The mood then lifted beautifully with a riveting Kashmiri medley and Henzey evening that had everyone tapping their feet in no time! The entertainment was taken up another level by our international guest, Dr Inderji Kaul (Boston, USA), who had the crowd thoroughly entertained with his wonderful songs. One very special highlight I must not forget – Rahul ji Saraf’s beautifully sung Kishore Da songs added even more magic to the evening and had everyone smiling and humming along. And Monika ji Thussoo took it to another level with her rendition of conversation between Mother in law and Daughter in law! Thank you all for the wonderful performance – we look forward to many more in the future! 🎶🙏

We also took great pleasure in presenting volunteer recognition certificates to Sheetalji Kaw, Sushain ji Sadhu, Aruna ji Kotha, Rajivji Kaul, Kameshji Kaul, Manju ji Kak and Manikaji Kaul for their fantastic service to our community – and very well deserved!

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the children had an absolute blast, and the dance floor stayed packed all evening. From traditional favourites to popular chart-toppers, everyone danced the night away and truly “left it all on the floor”!

A big thank you to everyone who attended and made the night so special – already looking forward to our next event – Herath celebration on 21 February.

Orzu thu Dhorcuth.
