Important message for Herath event attendees
1. Arrival: Please arrive by 11am as we have a day of pooza, Abhishek and bhajans and you wouldn’t want to miss any aspect of the holy celebration.
2. Water: Balai lagai, please remember to carry a water bottle to help us reduce plastic waste. There will be refill options.
3. Travel: We would encourage people to take public transport where possible. Lizzie line gets you to Reading station which is 15 mins walk from the Mandir or a short bus ride.
4. Parking: options for those who wish to drive are highlighted in the accompanying image. Limited Free Parking is available on Christchurch Garden Road. Please note cheaper parking option is at Reading University Car Park at £3 per day RG2 7BN which is a 10 min walk. Slightly closer parking options are at £2/hr on Kendrick Road, Morgan road, Allcroft Road.
5. Flowers: Please bring flowers if you can.
6. Prasad: We will have Kashmiri vegetarian lunch prasad and exciting snacks with chai, kehwa and Kashmiri Khatai.
7. Allergies: Humble request for everyone attending – please be mindful of the fact that the Prasad is being made in the kitchen by volunteers with shraddha and seva. We are unfortunately unable to cater to any allergy needs of attendees. If there is anything in the Prasad bhojan you are unsure about, we will have fruit Prasad on offer as well. We trust you to exercise your due judgement
